A spectacular mini-pond made by yourself can be a worthy alternative to an expensive aquarium. The only obstacle to its creation may be the presence of a cat in the house. The rest: the work is simple and the costs are minimal. Do not be surprised, but even the shape of the pond and its size can be chosen independently.
The mystery of the birth of a mini-pond
Do not be surprised, our pond will be fashioned in the literal sense of the word.
For work you will need:
- cement mortar;
- packing bubble cellophane;
- some dry cement or ceresite;
- putty knife.
On the prepared surface we lay out a container of sand with the expectation that its internal contours will correspond to the size of the pond.
We cover the sand construction with packing cellophane, putting it in bubbles upwards.
Fill sand frame with cement mortar. Evenly level it along the bottom and walls to get the future mini-pond.
As leveling we add, if necessary, a little dry cement or ceresite.
When the cement container is almost ready, we greet it abundantly with water to completely smooth the surface and let it dry.
We bring in the design of the necessary design elements, putting them on the cement.
We let the future aquarium dry and get rid of sand and cellophane.
It's time to paint the bottom of the reservoir.
After the paint has dried and weathered, we fill the pond with water.
Add chic, scattered multicolored stones on the bottom. At will, we “plant” artificial algae.
Choosing a permanent place for the aquarium, gently run the fish and enjoy the result.
